Wiersholm at MIPIM 2019

– This is by far the most important real estate conference in Europe, explains Mr Lian, who has himself attended the Cannes conference annually for more than a decade. – This is a unique forum offering a multitude of interesting topics, a large range of activities and a busy schedule.

Ståle O. Meleng takes part for a ninth consecutive year and describes MIPIM as a kind of Olympic Games for the real estate business. – This is a very important forum for the business itself and for our clients. And that makes it very important to us. We look forward to attending our clients’ events and talking to both Norwegian and international colleagues from the industry.

Mr Christensen is representing Wiersholm’s real estate team in Cannes for the second time. He says that his first encounter with MIPIM definitely made him want to return. – An event attracting this many people obviously offers unique networking opportunities. And you get new inspiration and an enhanced understanding of the latest industry trends to boot.

Mr Meleng stresses that this is one of the best forums around for discussing how certain problems affect the business in all countries. – A current burning and extremely important issue is the uncertainty attaching to the commodity trade and how real estate is affected by online shopping. I look forward to learning more about how this is experienced by the business itself.

MIPIM, then, takes place in Cannes, with the French riviera serving as a backdrop. – A negative aspect here is that there will be little time whatsoever to enjoy the beautiful surroundings during the conference. The schedule is too packed and the topics too engaging to allow for any of that, Mr Lian concludes.
