Leif J. Moltke-Hansen works with banking, finance and company law, including all types of financing transactions, Private Equity, and international negotiations and transactions. He has been involved in a wide range of Norwegian and international banking transactions, including acquisition financing, secured loans in various assets, project financing/structured financing and syndicated facilities, securitisation, shipping/ship financing, and purchase and sale of vessels.

He also works a lot with restructuring, debt negotiations and insolvency, with experience inter alia from the shipping, aviation, energy, telecommunications and private equity investments sectors.

  • Acted as a financing and restructuring partner in the assistance to Eitzen Chemical ASA in their process towards an agreement on a financial restructuring of the company's debt of USD 850 million with the company's largest shareholder and the company's banks and providers of bond loans in Norway and abroad and the subsequent financing of its subsidiary Team Tankers International Ltd, Bermuda.

  • Acted as a financing and restructuring partner in the assistance to the group of owners consisting of the state represented by the ministries of trade and industry in Norway, Sweden and Denmark with a loan facility of SEK 3.5 billion to SAS.
