Investigation

An external investigation is sometimes a necessary evil for an enterprise. In a crisis of confidence, the enterprise must be open and take responsibility for exposing weaknesses. Demonstrating the ability and will to clarify the facts is important to counter reputational damage and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

We are leaders on and have long experience with external and internal investigation of public and private enterprises. We have been involved in Norway's largest and most well-known investigations, and our international experience include the US anti-corruption rules. We have in-depth knowledge of how investigation assignments should be carried out in practice, and we cooperate closely with leading IT and auditing communities.

We carry out an investigation in close cooperation with our clients. We ensure that the investigation uncovers the facts in a trustful manner, particularly towards the authorities. Depending on the degree of seriousness and the potential consequences, we adjust our methods and means to ensure a proper investigation process. We also give advice to enterprises in crises, in which media exposure and possible criminal investigation means that the right action must be taken quickly so that the situation can be stabilised and the confidence in the undertaking restored.
